Dr. Edelson is a graduate of the prestigious NYU College of Dentistry, class of 1978. He was admitted to the Dental School after only three years of undergraduate college. While at undergraduate college, he was a member of the Tri Beta Biological Honor Society. Dr. Edelson was the second youngest dental student in his 1978 dental school class. He was selected by several dental residency programs for post-graduate training. He selected the State University at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. He trained in their general dental residency program. This experience afforded him a diverse and comprehensive learning experience at one of the largest city hospitals in New York.
After the completion of his residency program, Dr. Edelson was admitted to the staff of Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, to the Department of Dentistry and was later admitted to the staff of Bellevue Hospital Center, Department of Oral Surgery in Manhattan, New York. He served for several years at these two facilities. Dr. Edelson also taught at the NYU College of Dentistry in the early 1990's. Dr. Edelson has been in private practice since 1981. He is also very proud that he is a member of the Dental Lifeline Network that provides free dental care to the underserved, medically compromised and indigent individuals since 2008. Dr. Edelson is a strong proponent of utilizing the latest dental techniques and is constantly honing his skills via continuing education resources. Dr. Edelson is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the First District Dental Society. Dr. Edelson maintains private dental practice in Manhattan, New York. Dr. Edelson evaluates new dental materials for the Dental Products Magazine. He is also a board member of the renowned mobile application development company known as Appetizer Mobile. |
